StadtLesen is coming to Switzerland – and Jeden Tag will be there again too!

07. August 2018

From 9 to 12 August, we will set up our tents and books on Gallusplatz in St. Gallen, and we will be hoping for good weather and many reading enthusiasts looking to make themselves cosy in StadtLesen's outdoor living room. There will also be tasty treats! Readers will receive Jeden Tag gummy bears as brain food throughout the day. And, to remember where you were in the book after the tasty reading break, we have handy little magnet bookmarks from Jeden Tag.

That's not all: those who would rather listen than read on their own can choose from a wide array of readings:

Saturday:
3:00 p.m. - Reading with Karsten Redmann
3:30 p.m. - Reading with Andreas Niedermann
4:00 p.m. - Reading with Urs von Schroeder
4:30 p.m. - Reading with Tabea Steiner

BIBLIOPHILES HIGHLIGHT: At 5:00 p.m. Julia von Lucadou will be reading from her book "Die Hochhausspringerin"

Sunday:
7:00 p.m. - Reading with Andri Marugg
7:30 p.m. - Reading with Mischa Herzog

What is StadtLesen?

Public reading rooms are set up on city squares with cosy seating and a broad selection (over 3,000) of titles from all genres - a perfect occasion to make yourself comfortable and flip through a book. In 2019, the project will be celebrating its 10th anniversary. This year's journey will last from April to October and make its way through 26 cities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland before ending at the Frankfurt Book Fair on 14 October. The project was launched by Innovationswerkstatt in Salzburg.

Come and visit us during our reading stop in St. Gallen. We're looking forward to meeting lots of reading enthusiasts!
